Global Gen SPF Vannamei broodstock are produced in the only Government accredited SPF facility in Indonesia. Located on the island of Lombok, our facility supplies SPF shrimp broodstock across the Asian and Middle Eastern regions.
Who we are
Located on a 7.5 hectare site in Lombok, Indonesia with elevation of 30 meters above sea level, Global Gen is a government and OIE SPF accredited facility since 2008. We have a fully bio-secure facility consisting of a Nucleus Breeding Center (NBC) and a Broodstock Multiplication Centre (BMC). The NBC maintains all SPF family lines. Global Gen adheres to a strict selection program for specific traits advised by our lead geneticist. Selected families are cultured to 18-20 grams (Phase I) and shortlisted families cultured to 30-35 grams (Phase II). The selected families are progressed as internal broodstock and their siblings tested are reared as commercial broodstock in the BMC which has a production capacity of over 80,000 pairs per year.
