To safeguard the aquaculture industry in its entirety, Competent Authorities (CA) across the world are required to understand, inspect and check as many aspects of any live species entering from another country. Although the specifics of each country conducting such inspections may differ slightly, the ultimate purpose is to ensure that all shrimp broodstock suppliers comply to a strict system of biosecurity controls, exhibits an advanced breeding program and can evidence the SPF status of their product.
